 Each Consignment appointment is limited to 20 items Total!

Please pay attention to the terms as I get a lot of questions AFTER people sign the contract!
With the economic climate.. please know that I am pricing items CONSERVATIVELY. The majority of items remained in the store until Sales happened this last year, so I want to avoid that.

----The Exchange accepts consigned items seasonally and by appointment only. Please No Walk-Ins.

Terms for Consignment:
Your accepted consigned items will be tagged within 3 weeks of acceptance and put out for sale.
Consigned items will "expire in our system" for each Season and noted on your contract. Set a reminder for yourself if you wish to pick up items before they expire.

Item Pricing
With the economic climate.. please know that I am pricing items CONSERVATIVELY. The majority of items remained in the store until Sales happened this last year, so I want to avoid that.

Consignor Cut
Consignors are assigned an account and get 40% of the sale price once an item sells.
Account balances are available to the consignor as a check.
Customers may also enjoy a 10% discount when balances are applied toward in store purchases.
Consignor account balances become property of The Exchange if they are not picked up or used within one year of accruement.

Picking up your items
Consignors are asked to note the expiration date on their slip and stop in the store to locate and take their items BEFORE the noted expiration date.  HINT: Set a reminder on your phone!

Your things become The Exchange property and may be donated if not picked up by the noted expiration date.
Consigned Items NOT picked up by the noted Expiration Date, will become property of The Exchange or be Donated.
The Exchange will NOT CALL Consignors about expired items, account balances nor will we Mail Checks. Please plan accordingly.
 
Preparing your items for your appointment
 Items should be brought in folded and in a bin.
Do NOT Bring items in on hangers.
Items MUST be clean, scent free and in excellent condition.
The Exchange will NOT accept items in questionable condition such as wrinkles, rips, stains, missing buttons, odors, etc.
Shoes should be scuff-free and clean.
Jewelry must have verification provided to be priced as real gemstones or metals.
The Exchange does our best to review all items when dropped off.
If an issue is found with an item when we tag it, we will donate them as it is expected that items are dropped off in excellent condition. 

Legal Mumbo Jumbo
The Exchange is not responsible for loss, fire, theft, negligent handling, or act of God. Unfortunately, items have been shoplifted and damaged. It is an inherent risk of consigning and we do not reimburse consignors for those items. We take every possible precaution and care to keep your items safe.
Customers are welcome to call or email The Exchange to check on sale activity with consigned items and if there is a balance for consigned items on their account.
The Exchange reserves the right to have store sales and have consigned items sold at reduced prices.

Contract Terms:
Your consignment items expire on______________. No Exceptions. What does this mean? Please stop in before this date to locate and take your items. They will become property of The Exchange and or donated after this date. 
We WILL NOT CALL YOU to remind you of expiration dates on items or about account balances. Please stop in, email or call.
Checks are NOT MAILED To YOU. Please stop in or arrange for someone to pick them up for you. NO EXCEPTIONS.

The Exchange prices items generally at 30% of what an item sells for new and reserves the right to price according to item condition and price-point within the store.
